About Buhodle Development Organizaton

Buhodle Development Organization (BDO) is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit social organization established by a group of like-minded local community activist  with experiences in different sectors to promote youth capacity development and provide opportunities to  marginalized and other vulnerable persons living in Buhodle district  in Somalia. BDO is registered with the local administrative office as a non-profit social organization working for environmental , community empowerment and development

 

BDO is involved in various areas of work, including youth professionalism, community  development and capacity building, health, education, research, environment, climate change, youth and women empowerment, and social and economic advancement. The organization aims to promote and secure vulnerable and marginalized youths through the development of professionalism, providing them with opportunities, and enabling them to become initiative and capable through result-oriented research and programs.

 

BDO aspires to improve the living conditions of the poor and marginalized groups in Buhodle districts Somalia by adopting strategies through community initiative, participation, and sensitization. The organization was founded in 2018 and primarily operates in the Buhodle region. However, it is also capable of conducting programs outside the Buhodle region and has been working among backward communities in the interior unreached pockets in Somalia.

 

BDO has established partnerships with national and international organizations to further its mission. These partnerships include collaborations with organizations such as the  DANAFRIK-  Denamark ), Marginlaized Group Action Network – with collaboration Mothers-first Ireland

 

BDO comprises a diverse and dynamic group of competent members  from different backgrounds. The team members possess specific qualities that have helped sustain and run the organization. They have skills in various areas such as grant writing, program planning, implementation and monitoring, report writing, research and M&E, coordination and management, as well as innovations and the application of technology.

   Aim

Our main aim is to provide community action support with  professional skill, development and learning opportunity for poor and excluded society generation focus to strengthen them. We plan to achieve our aim by developing, testing and delivering evidence-based, feasible and cost-effective intervention relating to professional and social development with greater involvement of youth Programme, and communities. We support the government initiative aimed at poverty reduction in line with the sustainable development goals and target

    Scope of work and target

Buhodle Development Organization (BDO) is an independent, non-profitable non- governmental organization (NGOs). It is mainly concerned with implementing non-profitable social work in the field of youth, women, education, health, environment and economic development. We focus on providing opportunities and involvement of young generation and development of professionalism for creativity, community enhancement and development and prosperity.

 

Basically, BDO will function in research and development of social issue. Youth Professionalism & Involvement in agriculture, Natural Resource Conservation & Climate Change, Women Empowerment, Social and Economic Advancement, Primary Health & Education and so on. We promote and secure vulnerable group and exclude society generation life by professionalism. We also provide opportunity to those people who are looking for professionalism. We make them initiative & capable with result-oriented research & Programme.

   Working modalities

BDO will be working youth development Programme by implementing organization collaboration with the country government. We work in collaboration with the Government Specially Buhodle region , I/NGOs and community groups as relevant. Moreover, we collaborate with local governance, private professional development, care providers and teaching institutions, young professional organization and corporate sectors for the effective implementation of its programmes.

Our current practices of implementing programs and activities include getting approval from the concerned government agencies (Social Welfare . After the approval, induction meeting is conducted with all relevant stakeholders and partners to inform and communicate about the programs. Likewise, communication and coordination are done with local level stakeholders and local partners. Only after approval and coordination with all stakeholders, the program/activities are implemented in the concerned areas. After the program implementation, program evaluation and feedback are collected. Necessary reporting is conducted to the concerned agencies and the program comes to the end in the closure phase
